This film was made without a camera by sticking found footage torn from newspapers and magazines onto a transparent adhesive tape several meters long, scanning the tape and animating it for the final film. duct tape übermensch was realized in January 2003, a few weeks before the beginning of the last war in Iraq.

The original image strip from 2003 was re-scanned by Matthias Gabi and technically restored by Fabian Wegmüller for the new HD master.
